University Archives: About

Stockton University Archives

Stockton University Archives contain official and unofficial records of the institution. These include things like the Bulletin, Board of Trustees meeting agendas and minutes, yearbooks, reports, presidential correspondence, photographs, newspapers and newsletters, and information from various campus divisions, departments, and programs. Materials are available in the Reading Room, by appointment, or by contacting us

We are always interested in donations of materials - from staff, faculty, students, alumni, and community members. We are especially interested in collecting items from:

  • Student organizations, like clubs, Greek life, and sports: meeting minutes, membership lists, budgets, and scrapbooks and photographs showing the organizations' activities
  • Student life: dining hall menus, residence hall newsletters, and scrapbooks and photographs showing everyday student life and special occasions
  • Academic programs administration: meeting minutes, program reports, self-studies
  • Faculty publications: published books and articles for a special collection on faculty research
  • Distinguished faculty research: selected notes, reports, and research materials, along with published books and articles from Distinguished Faculty

Most materials in Archives and Special Collections are open for use by the general public, Stockton University faculty, students and alumni. In order to properly ensure the long-term accessibility and preservation of these collections, they do not circulate and must be used by researchers in the designated Reading Room.
