Richard E. Bjork Library wishes a happy retirement to David Lechner – our Public Services & Distance Learning Librarian. Our fellow colleague and friend, David Lechner retired this winter after more than 20 years of service. As a librarian and an adjunct, he brought a wealth of knowledge in everything from the Health Sciences to German Film to Jazz Culture. As a musician, he played saxophone in the Faculty Band for many years. As a friend and colleague, David is one of the kindest individuals you will ever meet, always happy to share his wisdom or an anecdote from his time in Germany. We are happy for David that he can now have more free time to spend with his family, travel across the country, and explore his many hobbies. You can look for him in Fall 2023 when he comes back part-time as an adjunct professor.
David’s subject areas have been reassigned, and you can find updated subject area assignments on our Meet a Librarian page.
