Gus Stamatopoulos is the Director of Library and Learning Commons Operations. In addition to being responsible for overseeing day-to-day library operations, his negotiation skills and acquisition knowledge provide the library with expansive resources and access to new platforms. Gus is the subject librarian liaison for Africana Studies, Holocaust & Genocide Studies, Jewish Studies, Philosophy & Religion, and Criminal Justice.
Gus has many years of experience working in the library world and was previously Head of Access Services of the science division at Columbia University. He earned a Masters in Library and Information Science from Pratt Institute and a Bachelors in American Studies with a focus on mass media from University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).
