Disability Studies (DS) is an interdisciplinary field of study that examines the meaning, nature, and consequences of disability, as a social, cultural and political construct. In contrast to educational, clinical, medical, or therapeutic perspectives on disability, DS focuses on how disability is defined and represented in society. To learn more about this minor at Stockton, please see the DS program's webpage.
The Learning Access Program (LAP) is Stockton University's disability support services office. Their role is to educate, advocate and facilitate equal access while maintaining a welcoming, inclusive and accessible campus community. LAP engages in an interactive process with each student to determine appropriate accommodations on an individualized case-by-case, class-by-class basis. To learn more, visit the LAP webpage.
