Digital Accessibility

The Richard E. Bjork Library makes every effort to create, acquire, and provide resources in accessible formats following WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines. 

The Library makes available millions of online resources that are hosted by external publishers and vendors.If you need assistance with or have accessibility concerns about any of our digital formats, please AskUs!   If you have accessibility concerns with our website, Contact our Web Team.

Library Services

The Access & Information Services Desk, located at C/D Atrium during our renovation, is available to assist in ways such as:

  • Finding and retrieving collection materials.
  • Search for and acquire collection materials in an alternate format.
  • Conducting research in the library catalog or online databases.
  • Printing, photocopying, and scanning.
  • Setting up a proxy borrower for your library account.
  • Locating spaces and services on campus.

Our library also has multiple Subject Librarians, who can assist you with conducting your research in a more individualized setting either in person or through Zoom. To schedule an appointment, visit our Librarians webpage.

Assistive Technology

Assistive software available for all students:

Read&Write
Makes websites, documents, and files more accessible and assists with everyday tasks, such as reading text out loud, understanding unfamiliar words, researching assignments, and proofing written work. Students can download this program, at no cost, through the portal on the Student Life tab.  

Rocketbook Beacons
Beacons are placed on whiteboards through campus to help with notetaking and retention, as whiteboards can be turned into smartboards by integrating with popular cloud services inside the free Rocketbook app.
