Exhibit Poster Your Library Then Now Next

Stockton University has changed dramatically over the course of the last 50 years, and so has the library. We invite you to check out our new interactive exhibit, Your Library: Then, Now, Next, which highlights the past, present, and future vision of Stockton’s library. Travel through time to the library’s launch in the Then section, which features giant polaroids of past iterations of our spaces; large equipment, such as filmstrip projectors, a turntable, and a card catalog; and small items like analog computer punch cards and card catalog cards. The Now section features huge photo prints from the 1990s through today, cassettes and iPods, and showcases a study carrel with a Royal Electric Typewriter in working condition. Feel free to type a suggestion for us or a message to share with your social media followers. Don’t forget to use our exhibit hashtag #StocktonLibX and tag us @stocktonu_library! The Next section invites you to do some “blue-sky thinking” and look ahead as we move toward our upcoming renovation. There are interactive areas–a digital word cloud display and a charrette-style survey–for you to voice your opinions and weigh in on ideas for the future of the library.

You won’t want to miss this exhibit, located in the library’s 1st-floor exhibit space until further notice. Please join us for our exhibit opening and light refreshments on September 14 at 4:30pm.
